Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that highlights an upcoming book release that we are eagerly anticipating.
Scorpia Rising by Anthony Horowitz.
Released 31st March 2011.
Scorpia has dogged Alex Rider for most of his life. They killed his parents, they did their best to con Alex into turning traitor, and they just keep coming back with more power. Now the world's most dangerous terrorist organization is playing with fire in the world's most combustible land: the Middle East. No one knows Scorpia like Alex. And no one knows how best to get to Alex like Scorpia. Until now.
The chases have never been more intense, the fights more treacherous, or the risks so perilous to mankind. And this time, Alex won't get away.
I cannot wait for this book to be released. Yes I know, I am a 26 year old girl desperately waiting for a book aimed at teenaged boys to be released but I don't care, I love this series. I have been reading them ever since the first book came out 11 years ago and I have loved them all. I can't believe Scorpia Rising is going to be the final book in the series. I am just hoping that in the future Anthony Horowitz changes his mind and decides to write a few adult Alex Rider novels.
That's all for now.
I've never read any Alex Rider novels, but I've heard some good things! And i do love the cover, it kinda reminds me of The House of the Scorpion by nancy farmer, but it's probs just me :p nice pick!
ReplyDeleteI heard so many good things about the Alex Rider novels, but never got around to reading them myself. To be honest, the only novels of Anthony Horrowitz that really interested me, even when I was still a teenager, were the ones about that scary school, whatever it's called. But, as you already enjoyed the previous novels in the series, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one as well!
ReplyDeleteTake a look at my WoW.
