Teaser Tuesday 31

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Should Be Reading.

The idea is to:
Grab the book you are currently reading.
Open it up to a random page.
Share two teaser sentences.
Give the name and author of said book.
And remember No Spoilers!

Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning.

The Fever series has been on my tbr pile for a long time and as I should be getting the final book in the series at the end of the month I figured now was the time to read them.

"My philosophy is pretty simple - any day nobody's trying to kill me is a good day in my book. I haven't had many good days lately."

Page 1.

OK so I cheated. I didn't go for random lines this time I chose the first two lines of the book cause I loved them. I just hope I'm going to love the rest of the series too.

MacKayla Lane's life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that only breaks down every other week or so. In other words, she's your perfectly ordinary twenty-first-century woman. Or so she thinks . . . until something extraordinary happens. When her sister is murdered, leaving a single clue to her death - a cryptic message on Mac's cell phone - Mac journeys to Ireland in search of answers. The quest to find her sister's killer draws her into a shadowy realm where nothing is as it seems, where good and evil wear the same treacherously seductive mask. She is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn how to handle a power she had no idea she possessed - a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae . . .

That's all for now.

  6. Love this series! Hope you like it too! Very smart to wait to read them all back to back! I unfortunately started them at the 4th book where there's the biggest cliffhanger ever and had to wait months for the next one! So kudos to being so smart! Enjoy!
