Teaser Tuesday 28

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Should Be Reading.

The idea is to:
Grab the book you are currently reading.
Open it up to a random page.
Share two teaser sentences.
Give the name and author of said book.
And remember No Spoilers!

I'm taking a brief break from netgalley month to re-read Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater so I can get to the next two books Linger and Forever as soon as possible.

"I couldn't figure how I could smell the blood so strongly, and then I looked down at my shaking arms and saw the red smeared on my hands and over my wrists. I had to struggle to remember it was Shelby's blood."

the cold.
Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—watches back. He feels deeply familiar to her, but she doesn't know why.

the heat.
Sam has lived two lives. As a wolf, he keeps the silent company of the girl he loves. And then, for a short time each year, he is human, never daring to talk to Grace...until now.

the shiver.

    Maybe someday I'll give werewolves a chance. At the moment they do not interest me. But i did read this first book, I like the story but not enough to persuade me to read the next two.
    Hope you are having fun reading it.

    I tried so very hard to get into Shiver, but it was just to mushy and melodramatic and I just couldn't do it. :(

    I loved this one though I'm not so crazy about Forever. Maggie Stiefvater is a talented writer. I hope you are enjoying Shiver the second time around.

    Whoa! I really need to read this series!

    I wasn't a big fan of this book for some reason. But one thing I did like was the haunting writing. Great teaser!
